Golfing ‘Wisdom’ of the Day

The day , the play –

Friday March 24 dawned sunny and windless and basically perfect for golf at Jagorawi. The iconic 45-hole layout beckoned the Sharks who got in well under the newly published rate. Even the parking lot made us smile – 10% full at most.

The course got us off a few minutes early with a mini-shotgun start on hole #1. Everyone finished in less than four hours.

Although the turnout was down a quarter from the previous week, competition was sharp and focused. Pras won low net without his A-game but gave himself a healthy number of birdie and par looks.

His approach game was sterling but he had to watch in despair as one putt after another slipped by. Marvin, who will hopefully join more JAWS games, employed triangulation (a.k.a Army golf) to position his drives down the fairways. He wasn’t entirely effective but still came within a stroke of second place.

Tom kept up over 12 holes but then .. well, picture a vehicle that lost all four wheels.

Next Up-we have the following games scheduled: 

• Friday 31st March: Imperial GC with 12 noon tee time
• Friday 6th April : JAWS-Singasanna 2 person Scramble with a 12 noon tee off , This also means free beer from our Sponsors San Miguel , thank you again for your partnership. For this event we will have 3 cases of Free beer to be won and collections contributions towards charity Astari Sayang Anak  
• Friday 14th April: Bogor Raya with a 8:00 am tee off

Round 2 INTER LEAGUE, this Sunday 19th March at Imperial , saw the Sharks take another 6 points with 3 wins and 2 losses , VC captain Bobby led this March as captain Simon Reynolds had to attend to personal business , the Sharks after 2 round at 12 points are positioned well and moving in the right direction. Good luck to Simon and his team going forward!
