According to Wikipedia, the Matoa Fruit has several benefits for health and beauty. It can lower blood pressure and remove excess fluids from the body.

Unlike the fruit, Matoa Golf did little to lower blood pressure but removed plenty of fluids from the 15 Sharks who braved the scorching heat of the Tuesday morning JAWS round.

After the round many felt, and looked, as if they’d just crossed the Sahara but tales of adventure, recoveries and birdies were many with net scores ranging from 69 to 86.

A special thanks to all who made it out even with the last minute venue change.
For the most part, it was a day of consistent play for Richard, Fernando, Pras and John.

Consistent at least until the stifling heat got the better of this fantastic four. Richard’s smooth easy swings clearly demonstrated why he is a single handicap. With two birdies and seven pars, he found very little trouble during the round.

With his brand new sparkly driver, Fernando looked impressive off Matoa’s blue tees but had a little trouble with his short game and a brutal last hole that would take him out of JAWS Leaderboard contention. Pras was monster-driving it straight down the fairway all day.

He slowed down a bit on the last few holds as the heat got the better of him but not enough to keep him off the top of the JAWS Leaderboard. John struggled off the tees which resulted in a rough first nine but managed a little better on the back nine giving him 4th place on the JAWS Leaderboard.

A bright and shiny day in Matoa. Divya and Emil played with two exceptional new-comers Chris (a.k.a Jim Furyk) and Brandon (a.k.a. Brooks Koepka).

The newbies created a feeling as if JAWS had upgraded to professional golf. For the most part, they made a game of pars and bogeys looks easy except for the last 2 holes on the front nine.

Divya moved back into his admin role and sat out the back nine as his 10-day detox along with sweltering heat became a bad combination. He was missed on the back nine but still a good game that left everyone smiling. Till next time.

Affandy, Chris, Priyaji and Jusi played in the same group starting on hole number one. Both Affandy and Jusi started well even though with high handicaps.

However hole two soon showed why they are high handicappers and Jusi ended up in the woods and would spend most of the round there. Jusi did have some good holes and likely to be more consistent in future.

The same can be said of Affandy-AZ who made some good pars but struggled with chipping and putting. Priyaji was diving long all day with his 3-wood but could not profit on his long drives and often struggled with his approach shots and chipping. He shot Net 74 but could have been so much lower.

Chris did not drive very well all day but scrambled well with some good second shots, short chips and accurate putting to shoot a Net 69.
Congratulations to the winners

JAWS MULLIGAN CHALLENGE-DECEMBER 18TH, JAGORAWI OLD COURSE
A new unique event will be played by JAWS Sharks in December at Jagorawi on the 18th of December.

Whats a Mulligan ?
A mulligan is a second chance to perform an action, usually after the first chance went wrong through bad luck or a blunder. Its best-known meaning is whereby a player is informally allowed to replay a stroke, even though this is against the formal rules of golf.
So what is the Mulligan Challenge ?
IMAGINE HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO HIT EVERY SHOT TWICE
BE IT A DRIVE , IRON , CHIP OR A PUTT ….

With this basic format , the JAWS Mulligan Challenge will be played at the Jagorawi Old course on the 18th of December.
