As always a challenging but beautiful day at Gunung Gulis. The five flights found the West Course greens as tough as ever but also moments of brilliance with net scores ranging from 70 to 89. A big thanks to all who made it out.
It was a difficult day of golf for Ruth, Riche and Pras with the velcro-like greens and generally tough course conditions.
But that did not stop them enjoying each other’s company and taking time in between holes to swap stories. Pras had the notable round of the day with a respectable net 77 that put him slightly in contention.
Willi started like a house on fire but snapped his Driver in half waiting for the 10th tee and faded badly.
Geoff was steady throughout but his normally reliable putting was missing on the tricky greens.
Laurie was driving straight and with no major disasters was able to come in only one over his handicap and good for second place.
For Divya Michael and Mi Hwa is was a mixed bag. It was a cloudy day and with great company, at such a challenging course infested with sharks. The Great White was in this flight.
Divya continues his terror hitting nine pars and, once again, topping the JAWS Leaderboard.
Mi Hwa hit a fantastic birdie on the 10th hole but the tough conditions kept her from her usually consistent game.
Michael was consistent and didn’t have any huge blow up holes but came up short on too many par shots.

SINGGASANA JAWS WORLD CUP 2021 FIRST ROUND- FEBRUARY 5TH , SENTUL HIGHLANDS
The JAWS WORLD CUP will be an annual competition between a JAWS team from Asia Vs a JAWS team from Rest of the World.
1ST MATCH – FORMAT SINGLES-In singles, each match features one player from each team. The player with the lower score on each hole wins that hole. If their scores are tied, the hole is halved.
The competition will be contested every quarter and with a total of 4 rounds (one played every quarter) at the same venue with the format inspired from the Ryder Cup format of Four ball , Foursomes and Singles matches.
ROUNDS TO PLAY
February 5th 2021 – singles matches – 15 players a side – two points per match
April 9th 2021- foursome matches – 16 players a side – two points each per match
August 6th 2021– four ball matches 14 players a side- two points each per match
November 12th 2021- singles matches – 15 players a side – two points each per match & JAWS WORLD CUP team crowned

Tee Time – 12 noon but for golfers that will be praying tee off will be 12.30 pm
