3 flights and 12 players, took on the rain gods of Bogor bravely in search of salvation at the prestigious Jagorawi Old Course for a rare Bogor Golf outing in the rainy season. The players faith were rewarded with a dry Friday afternoon of Golfing weather and a Golf Course in excellent conditions highlighted by some lightning quick greens.
Congratulations to Hari Tian who continues his fine form defeating: many’s 2021 MP favourite Aidan Lopon a convincing 4 & 3, Hari will play Willi G in the semi-finals in a match described as the ‘Battle of the Titans’ by the JAWS Admin Team, who overcame Willie Noronha 6 & 5 at Cengkareng on Sunday 7th November.
The second semi-final competitors are still undecided as Chris Lever (Dark Horse) vs Srinivas Murthy (Big-Hitter) finished ALL SQUARE after 18 holes which was also played at Cengkareng on Sunday 7th November. It took a 345 yard drive on their 18th Hole (Hole #9) followed by a 40 yard chip and Birdie Putt for Murthy to draw level and save his match and force a replay and another 18 Holes to decide the semi-finalist.
Waiting in the Semi’s is either Firmansyah or Ola who are scheduled to play their encounter on their ‘Work from Golf Course’ Monday of 8th November.
Regarding the remaining playing schedule the admins have decided to focus our playing schedule around West Jakarta Courses, as the courses closer to the Ocean are consistently less likely to rain during the rainy season which is well under way.

The ‘New Normal’:
Moving forwards, to sign up for JAWS games will be on the mygolf2u app and also on the whatsapp sign up groups. Please go ahead and input your games score into the app for handicap and scoring purposes but we will continue to use our traditional scoring method at games for the time being with one scorer per flight recording the scores of all players in the flight, but all players are advised to start familiarizing themselves with the mygolf2u scoring system to input their scores live: hole by hole or after the game, to your preference. The JAWS admins will continue to submit all JAWS scores into the Jakarta E-Handicap Network. The lowest handicap of the two will be used during JAWS games. Our target is to be 100% reliant on the mygolf2u app for: sign ups, scoring and handicaps come January 2022.
