Jakarta Interleague Matchplay 2022

Round 1 at Riverside, Sunday 20th February 2022

Congratulations to the JAWS Interleague Team who scored 7 points (out of 10) in Round 1 of the 2022 as they beat the DOGS scoring 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss to get their 2022 interleague season off to a positive start!

Captain Simon (All Square) and Randy Albert (1 up) scored a Draw and a Win in the Singles leading from the front, with Simon making a 20 ft birdie on the last hole to secure a valuable point. Randy dug deep and battled from Hole 1 till Hole 18 holding off a determined DOGS captain for his 1 up victory and 2 points on the board.

There were solid wins for Chris and Divya (8 & 6) and Bobby and Pras (4 & 2). Interleague Veterans Chris and Divya proving their matchplay experience and team chemistry was on point on route to their convincing win. New pairing Bobby and Pras proved to be an effective combination playing to their strengths at Riverside also winning convincingly! Well played Gents.

Tarlok and Diana paired up as the final pairing and ran into a pair of DOGS on form, nonetheless despite a loss made their opponents sweat for their 2 points. Nothing given away easy.

A solid start, with some positive momentum going forward to Round 2 where JAWS will play Teeset next month at Riverside.
