18 JAWS players headed West to Serpong and Damai Indah’s majestic Golden Bear Championship layout: BSD (Bumi Serpong Damai), making the most of Damai Indah’s attractive Wednesday promo the JAWS admin decided to shift the Tuesday morning game to a Wednesday, a choice that was clearly popular with the players.
There was some clear excitement from the 18 Sharks at tee off to take on this awesome championship layout designed my multiple major winner Jack Nicklaus, and with blue skies and sunshine the Sharks could not ask for better course or weather conditions on the day.
With BSD’s Championship length off the tee and challenging greens, the admins made the wise choice to play off the white tees and the decision was well received and made for a much more enjoyable and fun round for the players out on course.
The Play:
A warm welcome back to Jakarta Golf’s smoothest Golf swing, operated by Richard Berg and his trusty Ben Hogan blades, who casually went around the course shooting a Gross 74, 2 over par, Nett 64 to comfortably take Best Gross and Best Nett honours by a seven stroke margin, a fantastic round of golf, well played Richard! Don’t change that tempo sir.
Jeremy continued his form as Mr Consistent knocking up a tidy Nett 71, attacking the course with his ‘bombs’ off the tee and backing up his power play with some solid approach, short game and putting.
Divya continues his fine form and has well and truly established himself as a single digit golfer, although he seems adamant that he will still not ‘practice’ in between rounds… his new single digit handicap may make him re-think his preparations.
The ever present Michael Muller manoeuvred his way around Uncle Jack’s 18 holes steadily for a nett 73, to prop up the Best Nett Winners in 4th. Senior Golfer Michael inspiring our other seniors that its not juts length of the tee you need a solid all round game to back it up, keep it up Michael!
