30 JAWS Sharks tee’d off at Cengkareng on a sunny Tuesday morning making the most of the early morning sunshine to grab some midweek Vitamin D and with many JAWS players taking the opportunity to compete in their MP group matches.
The Play:
‘Low Gross Winner’ – JAWS interleague Captain put together a steady round highlighted by a laser iron into the par 3 Hole #8 (his 17th of the day) from 178 yards out, for a kick in birdie. A lapse of focus on Hole 9 (his 18th) cost him a double bogey finishing up with a Gross 80 for the second lowest gross score of the day, with the Lowest Gross of the day taking Best Nett 1.
‘Best Nett 3 Tied Winners’ – JAWS admin Jim Korbilas continues to ride a wave of good form, with his game continuing to improve, and clearly enjoys the Cengkareng layout. Mi Hwa Yoon returns to the podium, playing some tidy golf and appears to be making progress and constant improvements to her game. Both players posting Nett 69’s.
‘Best Nett 2 Tied Winners’ – A welcome back to Albert Santos who put in a great round including a back nine 40 showing his true potential, well played Albert. JAWS Interleague stalwart Emiliano was dancing down the fairways on his way to a cool nett 68 displaying a solid all round game to bring home some pocket money.
‘Best Nett 1 Winner’ – The Day belonged to Divya Ahuja, playing lights out on the way to his best round of his life, with a scorecard littered with birdies on his way to a Gross 72, for one of the best JAWS rounds ever. A magical performance making a bold statement as a genuine single handicap player going forward, incredible golf, well played sir!

A gentle reminder to all JAWS players who are competing in the 2022 Matchplay there are around 3 weeks left to complete your Round 1 Group stage, matchplay games, in order to avoid any points deductions from forfeitures get those matchplay games lined up and completed at Cengkareng, either during a JAWS fixture or in your own time.
