15 JAWS Sharks tee’d off at the Greg Norman (the ‘OG’ Great White Shark) designed Riverside Golf Club on this Friday noon tee time. With the greens running slicker than usual, this tight jungle layout proved challenging on the day with Nett 74 proving to be the lowest nett score.
The Play:
‘Best Nett – 3 Tied Winners’ – On a day when many struggled on the faster than normal greens the trio of Gaurav, Geoff and Andrew, not surprisingly some of the best players with the flat stick with JAWS put together some steady rounds all scoring: 74 nett
Andrew Deane led from the front posting an immaculate gross 76, nett 74, 8 shots clear of the next best gross score. With his accurate all round game, Andrew manoeuvres his way around the tight jungle layout tactfully, and his fast playing speed is a great example for all of us. Great round Andrew!
Playing off the white tees, 78 years young, Geoff Thwaites, continues to prove that age is merely a number, posting a solid round of golf and a nett 74. Keeping the ball in play, good speed of play and in good spirits a great example for all us younger players.
Gaurav Shirke was the third player to post a nett 74 on the day to share best nett. Not the most spectacular round of golf but some solid ball striking backed up with a sharp short game around the greens kept his score in check and name on the leader board, well played.

A gentle reminder to all JAWS players who are competing in the 2022 Matchplay there are around 3 weeks left to complete your Round 1 Group stage, matchplay games, in order to avoid any points deductions from forfeitures get those matchplay games lined up and completed at Cengkareng, either during a JAWS fixture or in your own time.
