19 JAWS Sharks tee’d off at Cengkareng on the day before Good Friday at noon to enjoy an afternoon of great golfing conditions for this JAWS social Golf gathering. The hot weather worked up a thirst for many of the players and signature ‘Frozen Margaritas’ at Mulligan’s Bar were well appreciated by the gang led by JAWS newcomers the ‘Shamu Crew’ ….. Welcome Guys!
The Play:
Congratulations to Michael Muller who holed a 9 iron on the Par 5, Hole #5 from 119 yards, his third shot for an eagle, the first eagle of his life! many more to come Michael! A solid round confirmed Michael and 4 other JAWS golfers all shooting a respectable nett 74 for joint 4th place and some pocket money, well played Pras, Simon, Rury and Dr Ghassan Hijazi.
Kent Rusli and Roger Finnie both enjoyed the afternoon play and played solid golf posting nett 72’s to bring home Best Nett 2.
The Round of the Day belonged to Lok Budianto who scored a sizzling 74 Gross, Nett 70, to take home Best Nett 1, confirming his spot in the knockout stages of the 2022 JAWS MP competition, and with scores like this, will be a tough competitior to beat, setting the standard for all the JAWS aspiring low, single digit golfers and wannabes, well played Sir!
Congratulations to Fernando Gaggino, who was presented with his 2021 Hammerhead Cup Round 2 Winners Trophy, which confirmed him as the hottest player during the second half of 2021, well played sir!

A gentle reminder to all JAWS players who are competing in the 2022 Matchplay there are around 10 days left to complete your Round 1 Group stage fixtures, in order to avoid any points deductions/walkovers from forfeitures get those final matchplay games lined up and completed at Cengkareng, in your own free time. The knockout draw for the final 8 competitiors takes place on the 3rd of May.

22nd April-Friday- 12-1pm tee off- organised by JAWS 🦈. Please bring a bottle ( whisky, rum, gin etc) which will be used to raise money for charity. Players will be invited to taste a range of spirits and make a donation to charity. Example, 4 shots, donate 100,000, 2 shots donate 50,000. The charity is the Fiona Unity Foundation.
Your match fee will go to charity but we will give 2 crates of beer to lowest Net 1 and 2. Players can also buy up to 3 mulligans at 50,000 each with any money raised going to charity. Golf fee is 745,000 for Friday. Sign up on myGolf2u.
23rd April- Saturday is the Golf charity day and the competition format will be 2-person scramble with men playing from the white tees; Tee off around 12pm shotgun start. Your competition fee of Rp200k will be going to the charity and will get you a super mulligan (1 drive/1 fairway/1 putt) and 3 raffle tickets for the lucky draw to be held at the BBQ after the game. Additional mulligans, Rp50k each or Rp100k with 3 more raffle tickets are available for players to buy and raffle tickets will be on sale by themselves for players and non-players alike. Please sign up for the scramble on myGolf2u (Charity scramble under D.O.G.S. for 23rd April) and please advise Roger Finnie (08113891350) on your scramble partner so we can prepare the pairings accordingly.
Saturday evening is the traditional BBQ Rp350k/ahead and partners and spouses welcome. We have some generous sponsorship from Anker Beer, Kojo and others which will supplement the BBQ fare and oil in the evening. As always you are welcome to bring a special bottle or 2 as well. Start time is around 6.30pm and we will do the prize giving and raffle draw during the evening – wine, whisky, green fee vouchers and several other prizes have been generously donated for the lucky draw and all proceeds of the day will go to the charity pot. Please let Roger Finnie (08113891350) know that you are coming to the BBQ and if you are bringing a non-golfer along with you so we can cater for the correct numbers.
Sunday is the regular D.O.G.S. day with the big dog on the line so Tee Set is joining the day to keep prize giving simple at the end – all registrations and pairings will be managed by Rod Williams and please register in mygolf2u. Tee off at 12pm shotgun start. To help those suffering from the night before, Meadow and Bone are organising a breakfast roll and tasting at hole 4 and other thanks and appreciation to them for the support. Golf on Saturday and Sunday is Rp950k a round.
