A drive south to the scenic Rainbow Hills Golf Course was rewarded with bright sunshine and a course in perfect condition. We played the Stone Course and The Forest Course.
Chris, Laurie and Febian played in the same group and started on the Forest Course. After starting with a treble, Chris then birdied the 2nd hole and then made 4 pars in a row.
Everything seemed to be going well until a wayward drive, followed by a 3 wood into the trees cost him another treble and his game then went downhill from there on.
Meanwhile Febian was hitting some long drives but then struggled with his short game. However he played much better on the Stone Course and was more consistent with his all round game. Laurie was hitting some great drives and generally played consistently throughout the 18 holes. He finished in 2nd place overall with a Net 70. Well done Sir !
Lovely weather , beautiful views and great company made this 3 ball of Mars , Emil (the ballroom dancer and instructor) and Divya enjoy a fantastic day out. Emil showed his dance moves with the driver hitting long streaky drives with his Callaway driver but missed out on his short game.
The ever calm and cool Mars had a steady round with relaxed drives and precision iron play but lacked the putting edge , yet he still managed a good score.
Divya erratic as usual, started his see- saw round with a string of pars then bogies and then graduating to a triple bogie and closing the final hole with a rough double par. Laughs , jokes and the odd needling made it a great day with friends.
Randy, Sam, Taufik and Laladons played together. There was plenty of laughter in this group and they had a fun round of golf. Randy again played a solid round of golf with a Gross 89. He played mostly bogie golf with some pars and managed to birdie the par 5, 7th hole on the Forest Course and was unlucky not to eagle it.
Taufik also played a very consistent round with a gross 87 and managed two birdies on the Stone Course to shoot a Net 76. His first birdie was a chip in on the first hole. Sam, after eventually arriving, managed to complete the Forest Course and did well to make 3 bogies and with more practice, his game can improve.
The star of the group was newcomer Lalandos who scored an impressive Gross 83 and was the overall winner on the day. His round included 9 pars. Well done !

Well played everyone. Congratulations to the Winners. Lalandos took first place with a Net 67 , Laurie was 2nd with a Net 70 and Emil was 3rd with a Net 75.
