JAWS at Pangkalan Jati (PJ)

Tuesday 23rd November 2021

Setting goals for your game is an art. The trick is in setting them at the right level – neither too low nor too high. A good goal should be lofty enough to inspire hard work, yet realistic enough to provide solid hope of attainment.

Greg Norman (The Great White Shark)

2 flights and 5 players took on a windy and breezy PJ for a Tuesday morning ‘hit’ at the well rekowned and ‘quirky’ military golf course in South Jakarta.  The game started as a 3 ball and a 2 ball, but with the course not so crowded and the pace of play ticking along nicely, the starter kindly allowed for the two flights to combine and play the back nine as a 5 ball.

A warm welcome to Raki, playing his first game with JAWS. A solid gross score on his first appearence with us and will no doubt feature in Best Nett awards in future games, keep up the good work Raki.

Michael Muller put his local knowledge of the course to good use playing some solid golf and an impressive 68 nett, well played! Pras Sutowo came in Best Nett II with a 78, and admits he spent too long with the other guys under the trees. The large gap between 1st and 2nd Best Nett goes to show, PJ is indeed a tricky course and your doing well to score well there.

Friday’s noon game sees us return to Cengkareng Golf Club for their favourite frozen margaritas and the perfect way to kick start the weekend. For those also joining the Teeset Championship’s the ideal opportunity for a cheeky practice round.

Congratulations to the Winners:

  • Best Net I: Michael Muller – Nett 68
  • Best Nett II: Bobby Cangkrama – Nett 78
