12 JAWS Sharks headed to Jakarta’s newest and hottest Golfing Property: Sedayu Indo Golf, located on the coast at PIK, overlooking the ocean at Jakarta Bay, designed by the Jack Nicklaus Design Group.
With its pristine fairways and greens, vast array of bunkers of all shapes and sizes, filled with fluffy and pure white Belitung Sand and its seaside setting, you can see why Sedayu Indo Golf has a buzz about it, it has become a must play for all die-hard and avid golfers in Indonesia, with Golfers flying in from abroad to play this new golfing masterpiece.
With only 2/12 JAWS players shooting their handicap or better, it is a challenging 18 holes and a golfer must play, boldly, assertively and strategically from tee to green and any lapse in concentration will result in a lost ball or two. With thick gorse like shrubbery aligning the perimeter of each hole, you’ll be lucky for a wayward drive to go unpunished. A golfer must bring his A-game or B-game at least to score well here.
A great course to test all aspects of your game from Tee to Green, especially your ability to play in the wind!
Us JAWS Sharks always enjoy a challenge!

The Play:
Great to see Shark Aidan invite his father for another round of Golf on his visit from the UK, Im sure he will not forget the experience.
Fernando Gaggino used his many years of golfing experience to navigate his way around the 18 Holes, with his Stealth Driver hitting stingers through the wind on route to a useful nett 74 and enough for Best Nett 3. Although his GIR stats were a little lower then usual, some canny wedge play saved a few pars where a bogey seemed more then certain.
Bobby ‘the Banker’ Cangkrama brought his good form from the golfing weekend at Rancamaya to post an impressive nett 71, an impressive round considering its only his 2nd loop of the course. His accuracy off the tee and low ball flight proved effective during the round and a fine putting display capped off a decent round for Best Nett 2.

The round of the day belonged to Dr. Ghassan Hijazi, being a relative newbie to the game of golf, even more impressive. It was one of those rounds where everything fell into place. Solid drives, good approach shots and confident putting, on route to a gross 85, his best score to date and a nett 62. A sure sign of his potential and what he can look forward to on his golfing journey, keep it up sir!
The round was completed in good time with a course quieter then normal during a Ramadhan morning here in Jakarta, where most muslim golfers prefer a 1-130pm tee time in order to break fast immediately after.
Congratulations to the Winners:
Best Nett 1: Ghassan Hijazi / Nett 62
Best Nett 2: Bobby Cangkrama / Nett 71
Best Nett 3: Fernando Gaggino / Nett 74
