18 JAWS players assembled as 9: 2-person scramble teams for the Ninth Round of the SINGGASANA HOTELS CHARITY LEAGUE 2-PERSON SCRAMBLE of 2022 at Cengkareng last Friday for the noon onwards tee off, in support of JAWS ongoing charity: Lestari Sayang Anak (HOME | lestari-sayang-anak (lestarisayanganak.org), a small children’s orphanage in Kemang, South Jakarta, lovingly run by Ingrid Van Der Meek and her team of 5 caregivers.
Lestari Sayang Anak has been our chosen charity since our first charity event in 2020 and it gives us great satisfaction to continue to offer our societies charitable donations as support for this great cause. So far to date after 9 scramble events in 2022 we have raised Rp. 25,100,000 and Ingrid reports she is very grateful for the ongoing support and is putting our donations to good use.

The Play:
The scoring was hot during the 9th edition of the SINGGASANA HOTELS CHARITY LEAGUE 2-PERSON SCRAMBLE, and the greens were in fine and receptive conditions despite all the heavy rain in the region.
Always good to see alot of familiar faces out for a Friday afternoon and a warm welcome to JAWS first-timer Tancrede Lot teaming up with Olivier Merle for the day’s scramble, welcome Tanky!
Lots of birdies were dropping all afternoon, with the new scramble combination of Murthy and Willi G combining very well posting a scintillating 61.4 nett score. Murthy’s length off the tee and Willi G’s short game around the greens and with the flat stick was a magical combination on the day, great golf gents!
Last minute sign up’s: Kritstyawan & Sebastian were clearly not playing their first scramble paired together. There two gofing buddies put on a solid display of golf, knocking in a fair few birdies themselves to come home in second place with a nett 62,4.
The surprise package of the day, came in the form of the scramble team of Terrence and Akhil, making full advantange of their handicap, played some great golf on this Friday afternoon to post a nett 63,2 nett and take home the final crate of San Miguel’s to kick start their weekend on a positive note. Congrats Gents.
Apologies to Olivier and Tanky for prematurely being awared 3rd place winners before the late finishers Kristyawan and Sebastian had submitted their score cards. Nonetheless well played Gents!
