11 JAWS Sharks headed up to Rainbow Hills on a beautiful Friday morning to play 18 Holes. Rainbow has 27 holes, on this visit the JAWS players played the Forest Course and Stone Hills Course. The weather conditions could not have been better with blue skies and the sun shining bright for the round, and for one lucky golfer the round turned out to be a magical one!
The Play:
A warm welcome back to Indonesia profesional ladies golfer: Dea Mahendra and her friend and Shark Rully Rachmat, hope to see you guys more often during future games. Good to see Nick Goodwin back in Jakarta from Jogja, making the most of his time and playing some JAWS social golfing. It turned out to be a very good day for Nick indeed, as this big hitting shark holed his second shot for an Albatross on the Forest Course, Par 5, 452m, Hole #7. Golf data and research estimates the odds of getting an albatross during a round fall between 1,000,000-1 – 6,000,000 – 1, in comparison to the odds of scoring a Hole in One which are: 12,500-1, according to the National Hole in One registry. Well played Nick! A real rare bird there. The Albatross capped of a great round for Nick, on the 16th hole of his game, to propel him to Best Nett I, with a 72 nett.

Dea and Rully happy to be back playing weekday social golf with JAWS posted a pair of nett 73’s to secure Best Nett 2 shared. Dea loves playing mountain courses, and always enjoys the challenge of playing these conditions at Rainbow with all the changes in elevations, blind holes and slick rolling greens. To post a gross 73 from the mens (blue) tees, that’s some impressive Golf Dea! Rully has the game to score well on mountain courses, accurate and assertive off the tee, keeping the ball in play and out of trouble, a nett 73 on a challenging course like Rainbow is a great round, well played Rully

The course was in great condition and despite some high scoring the course conditions and layout were enjoyed by all 11 Sharks who turned out to play. Thus, we will ensure we don’t leave it so long to play our next game up at Rainbow. With it’s unique layout, dramatic elevation changes, blind holes and fast greens, this course will test all aspects of your game, and golfers are surrounded by great views from start to finish, a welcome and enjoyable distraction in between shots.
Congratulations to the Winners:
Best Nett 1: Nick Goodwin // Nett 72
Best Nett 2-tied: Dea Mahendra and Rully Rachmat // Nett 73
Happy Golfing! Sharks…
