20 JAWS players assembled as 11: 2-person scramble teams for the seventh round of the JAWS CONNECT ENERGY CHARITY LEAGUE 2-PERSON SCRAMBLE of 2022 at Cengkareng last Friday for the noon onwards tee off, in support of JAWS ongoing charity: Lestari Sayang Anak (HOME | lestari-sayang-anak (lestarisayanganak.org), a small children’s orphanage in Kemang, South Jakarta, lovingly run by Ingrid Van Der Meek and her team of 5 caregivers.
Lestari Sayang Anak has been our chosen charity since our first charity event in 2020 and it gives us great satisfaction to continue to offer our societies charitable donations as support for this great cause. So far to date after 7 events in 2022 we have raised Rp. 21,00,000 and Ingrid reports she is very grateful for the ongoing support and is putting the donations to good use.
We recently catched up with Inggrid and she expressed her gratitude for our donations as one of her children at the orphanage has recently signed up to start the new school year, and one other child required some signficant dental repairs from the dentist, all of which was covered by the JAWS donations.

The Play:
Two man scrambles are always fun and especially at Cengkareng! The JAWS Charity scamble is well established now as one of the key dates on the JAWS golfing schedule.
Local boys Willie Noronha and Srinivas Murthy put their course knowledge to good use going deep into red figures with a Gross 70, nett 64.35 to take home first place. Murthy was delighted to take home all 24 cans as Willie N is a teetotaller.
Rumour has it Gaurav Shirke has bought a new fridge in his kitchen to stock all his beer cans, a quicker way to finish them would be to invite his friends round for a house party. Gaurav and Divya continue their good chemistry, Divya another good golfer that also happens to be a teetotaller, are we missing something here folks?
The hot new combination on the JAWS 2-man scramble circuit, Bobby and Willi G, put together a steady round and a gross 71, nett 65.30, to take home the final spot on the podium and 24 cans, 12 cans each for the weekend.
